Azúcar, meaning sugar cane, a major crop in the Gulf state of Veracruz, is the name of the newest (and perhaps most dazzling) resort in Tecolutla, on the central east coast of Veracruz— at the northern tip of Mexico’s glorious Emerald Coast.
Acapulco has long been known as Mexico's first resort town, host to the 1950's Hollywood darlings Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra and Brigit Bardot to name a few. Acapulco still retains the glamour of those heydays - and a great spot to soak it up is the fabulous, super chic, Boca Chica Hotel.
