Monk House, Lewes, Sussex Dates to early 16th century
An hour’s train ride from London is Monk’s House in Rodmell, Sussex. The 17th century weatherboard cottage was once inhabited by political theorist and author Leonard and novelist Virginia Woolf, and was a gathering place of the wider Bloomsbury Group. Surrounded by a lush garden of flowers, orchards, vegetables and ponds, the house has been preserved as the Woolfs left it, an artifact of their rich and turbulent life together.
We checked in at surf destination, Puerto Escondido back in March of 2014, when we covered Grupo Habita’s latest boutique offering - Hotel Escondido. Here we're revisiting Mexico’s Emerald Coast this week to give you a peek at Casa Wabi, a gallery, artists' residence and community space, by modern master, Tadao Ando.
